FAMILIES

Day-to-day life life in a rural community of the Moselle Département during the 18th century : Example Hellimer.

Pascal Faustini

Faustini uses documents unexplored as yet, such as forensic and notary deeds, which complement already known censuses (Stanislas Leczinski's edict, Brancas tax). He draws the picture of the Jewish community in Hellimer at the beginning and at the end of the 18th century. He depicts in depth the personality of notabilities, but also of humbler characters, such as butchers or farm laborers..

Chronicle of the life in Paris during the 19th century.

Stéphane Toublanc and Bernard Lyon-Caen

Stéphane TOUBLANC and Bernard LYON-CAEN make use of documents from their family archives, of vital records and notary deeds to show the family trees of two Jewish Families in Paris all over the 19th century.
