Without being exhaustive, this brochure mainly intended for beginners unfamiliar with the Judeo-Alsatian and Lorraine Jewish genealogy, reviews the main existing
sources. It shows that through the exploration of sources inaccessible to the uninitiated, such as notarial archives or hebrew epitaphs, the genealogist must never believe that he is at the end of his discoveries.
