Global Gazetteer: a worldwide index of cities and villages (nearly three million locations worldwide, including 80,000 in France). Is obtained, for the location of a searched place, a mute physical map  (relief, seas, rivers, however, with borders); precise indications of longitude and latitude can refer to any map scale of the country.

Bing.com: A global index of cities and towns may be less complete, but easier to use than the previous.
