Monthly Lectures in Paris


Unless otherwise notified, they take place monthly on the first monday at 6.30 p.m. in the lecture room of Alliance Israélite Universelle, 45, rue La Bruyère, Paris 9e. (Métro : St Georges, Trinité, Liège or Blanche. Bus : 74, 68 ou 81)

Special interest groups

These groups usually meet at our premises 45 rue La Bruyère, 75009 Paris.
At present the groups are the following : Lorraine and Alsace group, North Africa group, Germany group, Eastern Europe group. Details are given in the French Part, under the heading Réunions.

Eliane ROOS-SCHUHL can help you to read documents written in Hebrew. Further details from the secretary of the CGJ

Genealogical help at MAHJ
One or several members of the CGJ are on duty on the first Thursday of each month, from 3.00 to 5.00 pm at the documentation  center of the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire du Judaïsme, 71 rue du Temple, Paris 3e .



Regional Branchs

Lorraine Branch
: The meetings are supervised by Jacques BLOCH, from Metz, Françoise JOB and Pascal FAUSTINI. A lecture has been given on October 9 2011 at the Centre Communautaire of Metz, 39 rue du Rabbin Elie Bloch, at 10.30 am. Mr Bruno BLOCH will explain how to begin one's own genealogy.

Marseilles Branch
This very active branch is animated by Danièle FAREAU.
Meetings are planned up to January 2012.

Nice branch
This new branch was founded by André FARACHE and David BERNHEIM in December 2009 and is very active. Several meeting and lectures took place in 2010 and 2011. Several others are planned in 2012.

Why not open a branch in your region or your country ? Members of the CGJ are certainly living not far from your place.
