The civil records of Constantine
Between 1990 and 2000 Fernand Deray collected nearly 15000 acts from 1843 to
1895, which means all the microfilmed records of Constantine deposited in the
"Archives d'Outre-Mer" of Aix en Provence. By checking and
crossing information, he was able to build enriched databases that he provided
to CGJ.
Please note that a few records which can nowadays be found on the Website of
the CAOM were not present on the microfilms in year 2000.
Our research software allows you to identify all the matrical records containing
the surnames and given names you are looking for.
It is very specific by the fact that the search is extended to all people found
on the acts, parents and witnesses included.
For the surname and given name, you can use the joker "*" which replaces
any other character or chain of characters.
E.g.: to look for the surnames Zafran, Zaffran, Safran, and Saffran it suffices
to enter *af*ran.
